- Exercise daily.
- Eat a fiber-rich diet (for every 10 grams of fiber in the daily diet, colon cancer risk drops by 10%)
- Reduce red meat consumption and eliminate processed meats, such as hot dogs, bacon, sausage, and deli meats.
- Avoid alcohol or limit intake to no more than two standard drinks a day for men and one for women.
- Go heavy on garlic.
